REVIEW:Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero

In 2006, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs second album, Show Your Bones, was named the second best album of the year by NME. Three years later they return with Zero, the lead single off brand new album, It's Blitz.

It's thoroughly enjoyable, poppy track, that could easily fit into a Ladyhawke album. However one thing that's worth noting is the Yeahs appear to have some trouble finding a genre to fit them. Zero seems to lean on the dance side of dance/punk but yet on the indie side of indie/pop.

Never the less, it's a contagious track, with a catchy hook and a decent beat. Successful comeback have been built on less. If nothing else, this song excites for what is to come.

STAR RATING: 3 OUT OF 5
