She is, along with Little Boots and Frankmusik, one of the most highly anticipated new artists of 2009 and has appeared on countless "Big This Year" lists. Her "buzz single", In For The Kill recently climbed up to No.11 and she is currently supporting Lily Allen on tour.
It takes a few listens to truly understand what all the fuss is about. On a first listen it appears void of any real melody and Elly's high-pitched voice can seem screechy. However after awhile, you can't help but be sucked into their hypnotic, futuristic beats and what were once annoying screams are now soft, serenading wails.
Utterly electro, she has managed to bring classic 80's dance pop and make appear original and futuristic. Jackson's voice is one of very few that never fails to send chills down your spine every time you hear. A taste of what is to come.
